Punk Rock Barbie's Bitchin' Cruelty-Free Makeup Look

When I'm not rocking the podcast mic, I'm rocking my chordless pink rhinestoned mic on stage with my band.

We are a 90's/Early 2000's Pop-Punk tribute band, and I take full advantage of the opportunity to majorly glam up for each show.

Every show, I experiment more and more, and my show this past weekend was no exception. I really loved how this cruelty-free, bitchin' rock look came out and wanted to share the products I used, cause I really love 'em all.

Let's start with the base.

Cover FX Custom-blended Primer

I went to a Cover FX Event in LA where I got to meet the Founder of the company, as well as some of their top artists. I was blended a custom primer that addresses all of my needs (Anti-aging, calming, and moisturizing) but when it runs out, I am gonna get their blur primer. It is a great vegan/cruelty-free dupe for the Benefit Pore-fessional I used to use.

Cover FX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation In shade N 25 (N is or Neutral.... if you wanna know my undertone, turns out it's NEUTRAL, HONEY!)

I mixed my Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight into my foundation before applying. I mix it on top of a closed compact with my silisponge
The Cover FX drops are such a fun way to spice up your look. Just a couple drops in your foundation gives your entire face an instant glow! It especially makes selfies look gorg.

Concealer- Urban Decay Naked Skin

My FAVE concealer. It blends so nicely with all of my foundations. I have two different shades for contouring, depending on my mood/look. I went with Fair/Neutral with this look, which is lighter than my skin, to highlight my under eye and bridge of my nose.

I set my under-eyes with the Cover FX Perfect Setting Power

I was explained at the Cover FX event that their formula is talc-free, so you'll never get that ghost white cast in photos, as well as have gnarly talc on your skin. Apparently, it's really toxic and bad! I am not a sweater, so I only set under eyes with power usually.

Blush- I busted out my Lorac Cosmetics California Dreaming Cheek Palette.

I really wanted a cheek palette a couple months ago after having a meltdown over the Benefit Cheek parade NOT being cruelty free. I am still messing around with this one, but it certainly has a lot of potential for different looks, plus the name and the packaging is insanely cute.

Contour- Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter in Light Medium Shift

FINALLY I have found a contour palette that I like. I never knew if I would want a powder or a cream formula. Thankfully this one has BOTH to choose from, so I have been playing around with this every time I glam up. With this look I used the cream. Then I used the cream highlight, and put the powder highlight over it. This is my favorite highlighter of the moment. It's blinding and so gorgeous! There are so many things you can do with this palette, because it has so many fun colors to experiment with.

Eyes

I used a series of loose mineral pigments that I purchased from my Girls at www.indiandary.com.

Concrete Minerals pro matte eyeshadow in Hi-Fi (the bright PANK) and in RAVAGE (the tiny bit of purple I mixed in)
Concrete Minerals mineral eyeshadow in ROCKED (how appropriate)
Sugar Venom natural eyeshadow in AUSTEN (This is SO pretty, like a manic pixie princess at a punk show. I wanna wear it as a highlight soon!)

My water line is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Voodoo.

My cat eye was created with my new purchase, the Wet N Wild H20 Proof liquid eyeliner. I am VERY happy with it. The applicator is a little pokey, but once you get the hang of it, the staying power and pigment are solid.

Mascara is the Milk Makeup Ubame Mascara.

I used my trick again of putting the outer half of a lash strip on, with my Duo lash glue.

I used any old cheapy lash strip (as long as it's a cruelty-free company, obvi)

LIPS

You know I had on my Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit, honey!
I lined my lips first with my e.l.f. liner in Red. I love this liner cause one end is a blending blush, and I cannot for the life of me ever get a clean lip line. I am learning every day and getting better at it slowly.

Then for the lip, the Hunnies #1 Fave, Liquid Catsuit. For this look, I chose shade Missy and Fierce!

BROWS

I kinda slacked on them, because my bangs do most of the work for the top part of my face. I just colored them in a little bit with my Blinc eyebrow mousse in Auburn

I set my whole face with Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. There are several that I like, but since I was rocking the mic all night, I felt this was a job for my Urban Decay. After two hours, not a single part of my face was smudged or faded at all. This is also on sale and Double VIB points at Sephora Right now.

Proving that you can still have a bright and bold, rocking look without harming any bunnies!

ROCK ON!
